What is Holiday Ownership?

Holiday Ownership provides you with the right-to-use of an apartment/townhouse at a Marriott Vacation Club resort. In simple terms, Holiday Ownership allows you to purchase your resort accommodation at a fraction of whole ownership costs. You “own” your holiday unit for the period that you’ve purchased and pay an annual maintenance fee. During the rest of the year, other families enjoy the accommodation for their holidays, thereby sharing the cost of your holiday home.

How does a holiday at a Marriott Vacation Club® resort differ from a traditional hotel stay?

While both help you to achieve your goal of fun and relaxation, Marriott Vacation Club resorts offer added space and amenities that help to make your holiday more comfortable for you and your family.
While hotel accommodations typically consist of one room of around 45 square metres, sleeping a maximum of 4 people, Marriott Vacation Club apartments and townhouses are around 100 square metres, have between 1 to 3 bedrooms plus living/dining rooms and boast all the amenities and comforts of your own home with features such as fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops, spacious living and dining areas, master suite with king-size bed and oversize shower, luxurious bedding, multiple televisions and DVD player(s), washer/dryer and a private balcony or patio.

Additionally, Marriott Vacation Club resorts provide the ultimate in world-class amenities and services. With so much to do at your resort, there’s never any need to leave!

How much will my Holiday Ownership cost?

Prices vary depending on the number of weeks purchased. During your preview presentation, your Sales Executive will explain all the pricing options available.

Can I finance my Holiday Ownership?

Finance options are available only to qualified purchasers. Purchases may be made with an initial deposit and the balance paid on monthly instalments. The terms of the finance may vary according to country of residence of the purchaser.

Are there any additional expenses associated with my purchase?

In addition to the purchase price of your unit, you will be responsible for an annual maintenance fee. This fee ensures that your resort is professionally maintained (inside and out) to the standards that you come to expect from the Marriott Vacation Club name.

How far in advance do I need to make my booking?

All bookings are subject to availability of accommodation, and all bookings need to be made a minimum of 14 days prior to the travel date.

What is the period that the high season supplement applies?

The high season supplement depends on the offer but typically applies in the period between July and August and Easter holidays.

Do I get a confirmation?

You will receive confirmation by email within 24 hours of making your booking, and a call from a representative within 72 hours. Please do not make your travel arrangements until after you have received this confirmation call.

Why do I have to provide my flight details within 72 hours after the booking?

To complete your booking, we need to be able to confirm your flight details to Sixt, our hire car partner.

Can I reschedule my booking?

After your booking is confirmed, you generally have the possibility to reschedule once; however, it must be more than 31 days before travelling and a £75/€100 reschedule fee applies.

What is expected of me during my preview presentation?

All we ask is that you simply have fun, ask lots of questions and keep an open mind. If married or living together, couples must attend the sales presentation together; individuals may purchase separately. Plus, if you have children, we have fun activities for them while you’re enjoying your personal preview.

What can I expect during my preview presentation?

During your personal preview, you’ll enjoy a friendly and relaxing presentation by one of our knowledgeable Sales Executives. You’ll learn all about Marriott Vacation Club® ownership, and how you can enjoy a lifetime of holidays.

The presentation lasts approximately 90 minutes; and when you leave, you’ll know how easy it is to turn your holiday dreams into reality. Please use this time to ask any questions you may have about Holiday Ownership — our Sales Executives are here for you!

Will you offer me a snack if the presentation is during lunchtime?

We may offer you a range of refreshments including snacks and drinks.

Can I bring my children to the presentation?

There is a play area for children in the same room as the presentation, so you will be able to keep an eye on your children.

Is there any pressure to buy?

There is absolutely no pressure to purchase. The presentation takes the form of a one-to-one discussion with one of our holiday specialists, who will take you through Marriott Vacation Club’s holiday ownership concept and will answer any questions you may have.

When is check-in/check-out time?

Check-in time is 4 p.m. and check-out time is 10 a.m. CET.

Is breakfast included?

The apartments/townhouses are self-catering, so no breakfast is included.

Can I take my children with me?

If you are staying in an apartment/townhouse, you can take up to 4 children with you. All apartments and townhouses have two double bedrooms and a double sofa bed in the lounge.

Can I bring my pet with me?

No pets are allowed at Marriott Vacation Club resorts with the exception of guide and assistance dogs.

Are there any shops to buy groceries in the resort?

All of our European resorts have a mini-market where you can buy daily essentials/groceries in addition to baked goods, snacks, cold drinks, ice cream, coffee, wine and spirits.

Are there restaurants/bars in the resorts?

At Marriott’s Marbella Beach Resort*, there are two restaurants and one bar; at Marriott’s Playa Andaluza, there are two restaurants, one including a bar; at Marriott’s Club Son Antem, there is one restaurant and one bar; and at Marriott's Village d'Ilde-de-France, there is one snack bar.

Yes, you can hire golf equipment which will be charged to you.

Are the townhouses/apartments suitable for people with a disability?

All of our resorts have apartments/townhouses that can be accessed with a wheelchair.

Do I have Internet connection in the townhouse/apartment?

Internet connection is available at all townhouses/apartments in the Marriott Vacation Club® resorts in Spain and France. An internet fee is charged to guests but free to resort Owners.

How many bathrooms are there in the townhouse/apartment?

Each bedroom in the townhouses/apartments is en suite, so you will have 2 bathrooms in a 2-bedroom apartment/townhouse.

Vouchers

When do I receive my voucher?

If your offer includes a voucher, you will receive details of where to collect it in your welcome letter when you check into the hotel/resort. Voucher types vary and usage is subject to terms and conditions.

When do I receive my frequent flyer miles/points?

If your offer includes frequent flyer miles/points, you will receive them in your frequent flyer account approximately 8 to 10 weeks after returning from your holiday preview.

Where can I use my dinner/spa/golf voucher?

You can use your Dinner, Golf, and Spa vouchers in the resort you have booked. If your package includes any other voucher type, its usage will be explained upon collection, and terms and conditions may apply.

Transport & Car Hire

What are the closest airports to the resorts?

The closest airport to Marriott’s Marbella Beach Resort and Marriott’s Playa Andaluza is Malaga airport (AGP). The closest airport to Marriott’s Club Son Antem is Palma de Mallorca (PMI) and for Marriott’s Village d’Ile-de-France, it is Charles de Gaulle (CDG).

How do I get to the resort if I do not have a hire car?

You can also take a taxi from the airport. If you are staying at Marriott’s Playa Andaluza or Marriott’s Marbella Beach Resort, it is possible to travel to the resort by bus, but it will take two long bus journeys so we recommend that you contact us for alternative options. Marriott's Village d'Ile-de-France is easily accessible from Charles de Gaulle by train and then a short taxi ride.

Where can I pick-up/drop-off the car?

You can pick-up/drop-off your car in Malaga, Palma de Mallorca, Madrid, Barcelona, Seville and Alicante. It is also possible to pick-up and drop-off your car at the resort which must be organised ahead of time.

Can I extend/upgrade my car?

Yes, it is possible to extend the duration of your car hire and/or upgrade your car; however, this needs to be requested a minimum of 14 days prior to your travel date, and may incur extra costs.

If I arrive very late at night, can I still pick up the car at the airport?

Sixt desks are open 24 hours a day. As you provide us your flight details, we can inform Sixt about your late arrival and they will have the car prepared for you.
